Changing all the old glass in Georgian windows

Changing single glazing glass in Georgian sash windows Shrewsbury

A period double fronted Georgian house in Cross houses Shrewsbury. The owner of the property engaged Kensington’s to restore all the sash windows including draught proofing and rot repairs, but also another request was to change all the period glass to modern single glazing. This is not a normal request but there was a reason for this, the property had been purchased in a rundown state and had no real form of heating, so once the property was updated and central heating fitted all the original glass that was paper thin started cracking due to expansion and contraction of the sashes. As you can see from the picture the two first floor sash windows on either side have already had the glass replaced and look really sharp and back the way they would have looked back in the day.
