Liquid epoxy resin applied to the cills
Sash windows in Chester getting the cills repaired
This is a pair of Georgian sash windows in white friars Chester, the original cills were made of oak and are extremely durable but over time the bottom edges have just started to decay but the rest of the cills are still in great shape. So the course of action was to prime the cills with liquid epoxy resin as you can see in the picture, after half an hour a top layer of epoxy resin was added and sanded down to make a permanent repair and still managing to keep the vast majority of the original cills retaining as much of the original windows as possible.
